Check valves are divided into swing check valve and lift check valve.
Check valve refers to a valve whose opening and closing part is a round disc and acts by its own weight and medium pressure to block the backflow of the medium, which belongs to the automatic valve.
The motion mode of the valve disc is divided into lifting type and swinging type.
Lift Check Valve is similar with globe valve, only the stem that drives the disc is missing.
The medium flows in from the inlet end (lower side), exit from the exit end (upper side). When the inlet pressure is greater than the sum of the weight of the disc and flow resistance, valve is open. Otherwise, the valve is closed when the medium is flow backwards. Swing check valve have a disc that is tilted and rotates about the shaft, the working principle is similar to the lifting check valve. The check valve is often used as the bottom valve of the pumping device, it prevents the return of water. The check valve is used in combination with the globe valve which can play the role of security isolation. The disadvantage is that the resistance is large and the sealing is poor when closed.
Valve Overview
A globe valve is a valve whose closing part moves linearly along the center line of the valve seat. Since the valve stem has a relatively short opening or closing stroke and has a very reliable shutoff function, and since the change in the valve seat opening is proportional to the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for regulating flow. It can be used for shutoff or regulation and throttling in fluid pipelines such as tap water, sewage, construction, food, electricity, medicine, metallurgy, textiles, energy, etc. The globe valve is generally connected to the pipeline by flange connection or welding connection. Optional drive devices include: handwheel, bevel gear, electric, pneumatic, etc.
Check valves, also known as one-way valves or non-return valves, are automatically opened and closed by the force generated by the flow of the medium in the pipeline. They are an automatic valve. Check valves are used in pipeline systems. Their main functions are to prevent the backflow of the medium, the reverse rotation of the pump and its drive motor, and the release of the medium in the container. Check valves can also be used on pipelines that provide supply to auxiliary systems where the pressure may rise to a level that exceeds the main system pressure.
The main check valves produced by BTL are swing check valves and lift check valves.
